Supplements to Help You Get Cut

Eating the right foods, in the right combinations and right proportion, is key to burning fat and getting ripped. But diet alone will only take you so far. At some point, you will probably want to supplement your diet in order to give your body fat-burning nutrients and energy-boosting fuel that you can't get from food sources alone.

Be very careful when choosing a supplement that promises to help you shed fat and get ripped. Many of these products contain stimulants that can unsafely accelerate your heart rate and cause uncomfortable side effects such as nervousness or the "jitters".

There are two types of supplements that will help you get ripped without the use of dangerous stimulants:
  1. Supplements that increase workout energy

If you're going to do a hardcore, metabolism-charging exercise regimen, you will need both energy and endurance. Otherwise, you may find yourself getting fatigued quickly, or experience a high degree of muscle soreness after workouts. There are very few supplements that help to increase energy without the use of stimulants. Fortunately, the ones that work, work very well, so they are the only ones you'll need.

    L-Arginine
L-Arginine, the primary ingredient in RipFire XCELERATE™, is an essential amino acid the supports the production of Nitric Oxide, a compound that increases workout energy.

In a nutshell, nitric oxide acts as a vasoldilator, helping to open up your blood vessels and improve blood flow into your muscles during and after exercise. The more oxygen-and-nutrient-rich blood you can supply to hard-working muscles, the better your performance in the gym. In other words, L-Arginine gives you the energy and endurance you need to turbocharge your workouts and sweat off the excess fat.

    Creatine
After muscles absorb creatine, they convert it into Adenosine triphosphate, or ATP, which is the juice that gives muscles energy during a workout. So boosting creatine levels might help you push a few more reps than usual. The best type of creatine to take is creatine monohydrate.

  2. Supplements that burn fat

Studies have shown that some food substances have thermogenic properties. As the word suggests, "thermogenic" means something that affects temperature. These foods help to raise your body temperature, your metabolic rate and the amount of calories and fat you burn. Raising your metabolic rate (even a small amount) means you will burn more calories during the day, even when resting.

    Conjugated Linoleic acid
Linoleic acid is a naturally occurring fatty acid found in beef and dairy products. It has been shown in studies to produce a thermogenic response within the body. As a bonus, it also helps to promote muscle growth.

    Omega 3
Studies suggest that supplementing with Omega 3 can boost fat loss beyond what's possible with diet and exercise alone. As little as 1.6 grams of Omega 3 daily can accelerate fat burning.

    Green tea extract
Green tea is one of the most exciting fat-busting discoveries in recent years. The key is a component called ECGC, which has been shown in several clinical studies to rev up metabolism and increase the body's fat-burning powers, making it easier to shed body fat.
